Development
Queen Margaret's School is totally committed to single-sex girls' education and has an impressive record of investments made to maintain the high standard of education offered.
This investment has not been in buildings alone, though in current values over £10 million has been invested in the school's infrastructure in the last ten years. Investment has also been made to attract good staff, in staff development and to ensure that those responsible for the care and well being of the girls have both the facilities and the necessary experience and training.
This development policy has supported continued academic success and made a significant contribution to the school's ability to maintain pupil numbers despite demographic changes and increased competition from those boys' schools, which, often for economic rather than educational reasons, have become co-educational.
