Partnership

Education, especially boarding school education, is a partnership between parents and the school, and while we expect to earn the trust and confidence of parents to educate their daughters in the way we think best, we welcome parental involvement and participation at all levels. In addition to the formal annual meetings between staff and parents, the staff are pleased to respond to queries or concerns by e-mail, telephone or letter.

Queen Margaret's is a busy school with a full programme of sporting activities as well as frequent concerts, performances and other similar events at which parental support is always welcome.

A Perfect Setting

By happy geographical accident we are able to step into and out of the real world when we choose. While in a beautiful rural setting, the school is only six miles from the centre of historic York, which by rail is just two hours from London, three hours from Edinburgh and has excellent motorway connections. By contrast the village with two pubs, one petrol-station and a post-office, although just outside the gate, is unlikely to provide a premature introduction to life in the fast lane!
