Queen Margaret's has remained firm in the belief that most girls are better motivated and achieve more in an all-girl environment, a belief which few would now dispute.

It is also one of the few remaining girls' schools in which over 90 percent are boarders and therefore able to participate fully in the wide variety of extra-curricular activities offered. Essentially we are looking for girls who will flourish in an environment which seeks academic excellence and encourages the creative arts and physical exercise, and who wish to contribute to a well-ordered Christian community through tolerance, good humour and self-discipline.
