Currently there are 344 girls in the school (four year average 354) of whom 264 are boarders, 54 are weekly boarders and 26 are day girls.

Many girls, approximately 35 percent, come from homes within 50 miles of York with 13 percent from Scotland, 40 percent from the rest of the UK and the remaining 12 percent from overseas.

The average number of girls per year in Years III, IV and V is 55.
The average number of girls in a class is 14.
The number of girls in the VI Form is 124.
